It’s a baby step world and we’re all learning to walk. Faltering under atlas pressure.

Timepass, past time, always fighting two sides of myself. Social antisocial, jekyll hyde tug-o-war. No side winning just a sport of the evening.

Psychotic, sociopathic, enigmatic mess of a man. Delving deep into subconscious, diseased mind emblematic. Skull and bones frail and chipped away at.

The Life Intoxicated

-Silence maddening, relating so fattening. Listening to struggled conversations amid the boisterous amalgamation. Of voices and chatter mingling among the ether. Unfathomable sirens singing a quaint refrain. Endless banter, fruitful coexistence turn to dwindling murmurs of the bar scene.

Escaping luxurious remnants of the bygone drunken haze. Whence pity and apathy comingled at every pathetic stage. Onlookers wince at the foolish inebriated ass. Passing by a downtrodden dunce looking for earthly delights and sin. Collapsing on self, the final act of spite. Searching for life lessons one ounce at a time.

My heart is hurting ever so slightly. Mightily it beateth in the cold cavity. Dusty coffin it has indeed become. Stake in its place waiting for steady hands. Shaking rhythmic fashion piloting the disorganized body. One more roll for the killing joke. One more coal for the fires stoked.

Am I beast or simpering fool? Never deciding which, just coasting along. Reaching rocky bottom looking for space to dwell aching head. Vicious cycles on repeat, dry rinse the hurtful life debt. Laundry list of unforgiven pasts. Multiformed lives, passing through existential tests. Pick the queen a hard enough task. Full monty play with the onus on the animal.

Hate self-hate. Spiraling cosmic bitterness, vertigo darkness. Round and round, twirl doth the emotions do. Growing, evolving, darkened patterns dippling the clouded skies of the internal demon. Lighten the load off Orion’s belt. Constellation seen and awed upon when on a good trip. Astronomy redux, starlight beckoned, cup of life sip. One after another till satiety reached.

I placed them upon my feet, walked a mile in her shoes. Felt the sting of eyes on my body. The odd whispers about my appearance. The tough walk shadowing a frail center. Looking, always looking as I pass through the haze. Silent judgements growing in my mind. Condescension appearing like little ringlets at the mouths of manchildren. They task me, haunt my train of thought, a vivid mind going to waste.

Pressure skin deep, many lives to live, many channels to board. I do it all with grace uncanny. Demure in destitution. Sexually gratifying even in sickness. Gross abuses taken in stride. Waft airily along like a Mary Poppins marionette. Shifting, bending, weighing heavier on myself each passing day.

I cannot take it anymore. I break down, a hunk of machinery left to rust. No time to wallow, back up the rails I go to work another shift. Always working, never piecing a time for me. To take to the fight for equality seems to break the camel’s back. Two humps disheveled but alas my tasks are never done.

Since President Obama was ushered into office in 2008, the EPA has consistently faced ridicule and criticism from corporate polluters and their greedy allies in Washington. On virtually every occasion Obama refused to side with Jackson’s more rationale, often science-based positions, whether it was cleaning up the air or forcing the natural resource industries to abide by existing regulations. Ultimately, the EPA is only as formidable as the White House allows it to be, and on Obama’s watch the agency has not received the support it has desired or deserved.

Of course, after eight long years of President Bush, BP executives weren’t used to being bullied into submission by some bureaucrat, especially a surly woman at the EPA, so they dialed up their friendly White House staff and complained that Jackson had overstepped her boundaries. Obama quickly obliged and forced the EPA to bite its tongue. Then Obama’s Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel discreetly assembled the administration’s oil response team. Lisa Jackson was conspicuously absent from the list.

-Stability, security, these words sound good. How I long for them, to wrap within them cozily. Soft blanket of comfort lulling me into a rapturous oblivion. A black hole of inner peace. Prosperity of emotional well-being refined. Altered beast, static babe in luxurious folds. Enveloping sleep, circadian rhythms dancing on pied piper dreams. Tar Sands Blockade published new videos today (4/7) showing oil from the Arkansas pipeline rupture diverted from a residential neighborhood into a wetland area to keep it out sight and, most importantly, out of the media & public view.

While it’s not clear if the oil was intentionally moved into the wetland, the company says it is cleaning pavement with power washing devices, which could cause some of the oil to be pushed off neighborhood streets and into other areas.

Activists also interviewed a local resident who claimed the oil has continued “flowing” into Lake Conway since the spill happened.

“I don’t have allergies,” the man said. “But now my sinuses are bothering me. My throat’s bothering me. My eyes water constantly. But Exxon acts like nothing’s wrong. They don’t have to live here, we do. And we’re not moving just because of them.”

The activists noted that they were turned away from the area several times before by police and Exxon spill cleanup workers, but they returned on Saturday just before sundown and managed to sneak in to capture footage of the oiled wetlands. In two separate videos, nearby residents say they’ve been made sick by the spill, which has tremendously affected their air quality.

This footage has largely remained out of the media due to the lockdown that’s descended upon Mayflower nearly a week since the spill. Reporters touring the damage with Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel were allegedly turned away by Exxon workers. One journalist, Inside Climate News’s Susan White, was even threatened with arrest when she asked a question of Exxon’s “public affairs” desk inside the spill cleanup command center. The company has also secured a no-fly zone over the spill area.

Video of Lake Conway’s wetlands shows thousands of what Exxon called “absorbent pads” — which appear to be nothing more than paper towels — littering the blackened landscape as thick, soupy crude bubbles across the water’s surface. The company insists that air quality in the affected region is being measured by the Environmental Protection Agency, and that tests show “levels that are either non-detect or that are below any necessary action levels.” Exxon also says that the area’s drinking water remains unaffected.

A phone number given by Exxon to reach the company’s “downstream media relations” team did not appear to be correct, and a spokesperson was not available for comment.

Freddie Mercury was a British musician, singer and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist and lyricist of the rock band Queen. Mercury was a Parsi born in Zanzibar and grew up there and in India until his mid-teens.

A man with a tremendous voice and stupendous talent. His music covered all ranges of the human struggle and endeavours. He mixed social and political commentary with outrageous and fun lyrics. His vocal range and abilities were fantastic and utterly unique.

How To Be A ‘Reverse-Racist’: An Actual Step by Step List For Oppressing White People

White people who are confronted with their white privilege and the white supremacist acts they perpetuate have been known to cry, “You’re being a reverse-racist!” That is completely true: people of color have the power and control to create, perpetuate, and maintain brutal systematic reverse-racism that oppresses white people every day. As such, we have created this handy list on how to continue this oppression.

1. Enslave their bodies.

Ship them from Germany, Sweden, and other exotic countries. Force them to build entire cities, roads, bridges. Force them to plant and harvest all the food everyone eats. Let an entire economic system be built on their backs, with their blood and sweat. Later, deny them access to the system they have been used to build, and accuse them of being extremely lazy.

2. Steal their land.

If they were here before you, steal their land. This is essential. Basically, just go in there and take it. If you have to kill some of them to get it…no worries. If you have to kill almost all of them to get it…shit, no worries. After you steal their land, make sure you create laws to keep them from ever returning to it. If they try to return anyway, build fences, and let bands of POC vigilantes patrol the borders with guns. If they somehow get past the borders and into your country, no worries, you can always just deport them.

3. Enslave their minds.

From these systems, build a long lasting institution of reverse-racism until all the violence and microaggressions make many white people into suspicious people with a lot of internalized self-hatred, health problems, and mental illnesses. Then deny them access to adequate mental health care. Or, adequate health care of any kind, while you’re at it. ‘Cause, you know, fuck ‘em.

4. Wipe out and/or appropriate their customs.

Since many of their customs are savage and unworthy of preserving, wipe out their traditions of eating mashed potatoes and meatloaf, playing miniature golf, buying khakis at Banana Republic, and sleeping with thousand-count Egyptian cotton sheets. For the customs you think are kinda cool, culturally appropriate from them. Sometimes wear a beret and lederhosen, because Swedish culture is really exotic even though it’s inferior to ours.

5. Break their espresso machines.

With baseball bats or large hammers. Or, you know, just unplug them all.

6. Call them “honky”.

As people of color, we have been rightfully accused of being racist to white people, especially when we call them “honky”. As we all know, calling them “honky” is egregiously offensive and horribly shocking because of this long, violent, reverse-racist history.

7. Just keep being terrible to them.

Do everything you can think of to make it so that white people make less money; their children are shot by cops; white women are at higher risk for assault and they are exotified until they no longer seem human; white men are beaten and thrown into jails because they look “suspicious” and “threatening”; they are racially profiled everywhere they go.

8. Make sure most representations of them in the media are negative.

They should almost always be portrayed as pasty, stringy-haired, rhythm-less, sexless, uptight, and booooring. Also, there should be very few representations of them and when they’re portrayed at all, they should always only be the comic relief, the silent exotic sex object, the Debbie Downer, or the incompetent sidekick. They are only allowed to be easily forgettable, one-dimensional characters. Sometimes use POC actors in white-face to portray these white people. By presenting this ONE image of them all the time, you will be able to convince the rest of the population that all white people are like this, thus ensuring a widespread belief in their inferiority.

9. Keep telling them how beautiful they are not.

White people know they will never be beautiful with their boring sour cream complexions and blonde hair (that was actually caused because of mutations). Plaster people of color on every magazine, show them in every television show and movie, and praise them as the most beautiful. When white people cry at these injustices, bottle their tears and sell them as health creams for people of color. Nothing like a soothing lotion made from the pain of white folks!

10. Go bananas!

Force them underground and away from the sun to become even whiter, while you laugh manically like the cruel, bloodthirsty, oppressive person of color you are! Take their thousand-count Egyptian cotton sheets to make POC-supremacist flags and hoods and march through the streets, spreading fear and terror. Every time a white person thinks your behavior is unfair or wrong, tell them that they should stop being so sensitive! We live in a post-reverse-racial society now! Jeez.
